ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Our extensive knowledge and experience on all types of Absorption Chilling was called on when a Carrier Single Stage Absorber had a failed Solution Pump. Our works included for the decant of all the Lithium Bromide solution and refrigerant into IBC’s. The new pump was installed, leak tested and the system evacuated and the solution re-introduced into the system. On re-commissioning it was evident that the Low Temperature Heat Exchanger had a cross leak causing the Chiller to store out and not preform.
The solution had to be removed again and we employed a specialist welding firm and installed a replacement Heat Exchanger after a long lead time. Upon re-commission the Chillers performance was logged and found to be 98% of rated capacity.
