MICROCHANNEL CONDENSER COIL REPLACEMENT

During a routine Preventative Planned Maintenance visit to our customers site, we found a microchannel condenser coil with a pin-hole leak. We recovered the remaining 50 KG of the 60 KG Nameplate Refrigerant Charge of R1234ZE and submitted a quotation for repair.

We went to the manufacturer for the replacement coil for the microchannel condenser coil replacement. It was relatively easy to get access and remove the failed coil with a major strip down of the subframes of the chiller. The new coil was installed, pressure tested, evacuated and charged with a top up charge of 10KG. The R1234ZE refrigerant has a GWP of 4, quite impressive.
