We attended site by request from the building manager on why newly retrofitted Soft Starter Units failed. The 3rd party installing electrician had installed this new technology on a previously standard motor starter system.
We attended site with multiple multi meters and 9 VDC Batteries for testing the SCR’s and IGBT assemblies, a gate switching fault soon became apparent.
Working on behalf of the incumbent Chiller Maintenance Contractor, we were asked to Retrofit a new Sabroe Unisab III Control System to an existing older Sabroe Unisab II System.
