BITZER SCREW LOADING PISTON SEAL CHANGE
Our previous blog BETTER THAN MANUFACTURER CONTROLS UPGRADE gave us telemetry and alarming that indicated System No2 Bitzer Screw Compressor on the Climaveneta Chiller was not loading past 50%.
Initially, we did the easy investigations of changing the loading stems in the hope that these were the root cause. Unfortunately they weren’t, we had to pump down the compressor and inspect the internal loading piston. Strip-down Investigations showed the seals were damaged and fowling the pistons travel. We carried out the Bitzer Screw Compressor Loading Piston Seal Change and put the compressor back into service.
