ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Working on behalf of the incumbent HVAC Maintenance Contractor, we were asked to replace an End-Of-Life Burner on a Buderus Boiler Heat Exchanger. We selected a Bentone burner to retrofit to the boiler. We had an adaption plate manufactured by our fabrication company to allow for an easy retrofit on site. The gas pipework was adapted to the new burner with a full tightness test completed on the installation. We carried out pre-commissioning checks and fired the new burner up.
We carried out commissioning of the burner to manufacturer tolerances and completed a Gas Rate Test and rated the burner at 77 KW on an 80 KW Rated Boiler. All in all a very successful retrofit.
