CARRIER GLOBAL CHILLER TQ VALVE FAULT.
Our customer was quoted tens of thousands of pounds for a complete controls retrofit as the original Danfoss TQ Actuator used on the Liquid Subcooling HX is unsupported and thought to have now failed. We cast our eye over it much to the joy of our customer.
We carried out extensive diagnostics on the Carrier Global TQ Valve Fault, hooking up our Carrier Interface Tool for telemetry, a multi meter and an extensive knowledge base. It was a tricky fault to find, but ultimately there was a connection issue between the TQ Valve Terminals and the DIN Plug Terminal Box. A bit of re-engineering and away it went. We are currently testing a bespoke PWM Interface module to adapt to a replacement Electronic Valve Actuator, so our customer will be on the front foot if one of these Danfoss TQ Valve Actuators fail in the future.
